Kansas City-based cookbook co-authors Jyoti Mukharji and Auyon Mukharji are bringing their new cookbook Heartland Masala: An Indian Cookbook from an American Kitchen to Austin's Meanwhile Brewing on Thursday, April 2. The mother-son duo will be in conversation with KUT's Morning Edition host Jennifer Stayton at 6pm. After the chat, Jyoti and Auyon will be taking audience questions and signing books.

The event is free and open to the public. Copies of Heartland Masala will be available for purchase courtesy of BookPeople. Side Eye Pie's on-site food truck will feature Heartland Masala-inspired pizza and wings to round out the evening.
