Merchandiser
Founded in 2020, Meanwhile Brewing Co. is a community-driven brewery on 3.7 acres in southeast Austin, where craft beer and culture intersect. Meanwhile produces a wide array of world-class beers, including year-round canned offerings such as Meanwhile Pilsner, Secret Beach IPA, and Tender Robot Hazy IPA. One of Austin’s largest independent breweries, we distribute throughout Central Texas, from Georgetown to San Antonio.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and people-focused Merchandiser to join our Sales Team! This role is essential to how our beer is represented in the market — from fully stocked shelves and clean draft lines to engaging tastings that introduce new customers to Meanwhile. A great candidate takes pride in representing the brewery, builds strong relationships with retail partners, and understands that execution at the account level directly impacts the team’s success. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and collaborating closely with our sales and delivery teams.
- Monitors stock levels at assigned accounts, replenishes shelves and cold boxes, prevents stockouts, rotates product for freshness, and reports shortages or issues to the sales team.
- Maintains clean, organized, and attractive shelf sets and displays; executes planograms; places and maintains POS and promotional signage; ensures Meanwhile products are merchandised in optimal locations.
- Works closely with store staff, buyers, and the Meanwhile sales team to ensure smooth product flow, timely restocks, and successful promotions.
- Hosts beer tastings and sampling events at grocery and convenience stores, representing Meanwhile with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Assists with beer deliveries, helps cover delivery routes as needed, and performs draft line cleaning and basic draft maintenance at on-premise accounts.
- Serves as a friendly, reliable point of contact for accounts, helping build and maintain strong relationships throughout the market.
- Accurately documents merchandising visits, tastings, deliveries, and draft work; communicates account feedback, issues, and opportunities to the sales team.
- Assists with other sales and distribution-related duties as needed.
- This is a full-time salaried position – that’s 40 hours each week with occasional overtime.
- We’re working with beer here – you gotta be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable driving delivery vehicles and working in retail and warehouse environments.
- This job can be physical. You’ll be lifting 55-165 pound kegs, twisting/turning, reaching over your shoulders, climbing stairs, working in hot/cold/wet conditions, bending/stooping, and standing/walking.
- Must conduct yourself professionally while representing Meanwhile Brewing Co. at accounts, tastings, and events.
- Openness to sharing ideas, observations, and suggestions to help improve our sales and distribution efforts.
